PlushLobster.
No thoughts. Big claws.
Emergency reverse.
Take hold of the shell and pull. Lift, squash or toss. Bend a leg and its little wire remembers. Drag empty space to orbit; scroll or use two fingers to zoom.

Inside the experiment
One brain cell. Many tetrahedra.
One smooth-unioned signed distance field forms the domed shell, six tail segments and five-paddle fan. Surface-net geometry follows a hexahedral stuffing lattice. Co-rotational cell shape matching and XPBD tetrahedral volume constraints run at a fixed 60 Hz with six substeps. The shell breathes, finds its feet and meets the table with Coulomb friction. The tail receives no posture support.
Emergency reverse
The tail muscle changes the rest shapes of its cells: fibres above the centreline lengthen while those below shorten. A Tail flip curls the actual stuffing in about 0.1 seconds with extra stiffness, adds a backward/upward take-off impulse and releases the curl in mid-air. Poke the shell with Finger to trigger the same deeply unnecessary escape.
Twelve wires. Zero thoughts.
Eight walking legs, two claw arms and two twitching feelers use compliant XPBD rods with plastic wire offsets. Hand-made bends persist until Straighten. Walk is head-first, with alternating planted feet; held aloft, the legs dangle. Pull a limb beyond its reach to tow the whole toy. The claws open with one hinge angle each, and snip out of phase.
Hold the Finger tool ahead of him: he walks over, turns to face it and offers one gentle pinch. Wave claws is for questions he immediately forgets.
Shaggy, brushable plush
Up to 60,000 tapered, four-segment hair ribbons sit above 12 short undercoat shells, with 4× MSAA. Like the shaggy spider, each hair has its own length and lean. Comb stores the lie in the moving surface frame, so partings follow the tail and claws; damped pile springs trail the motion. Smooth fur clears the grooming. Stitched short-pile tail creases, pale fan edges, soft key shadows, contact AO and PBR Neutral tone mapping complete the specimen. Quality adapts to the device. No external textures, models or libraries.
Reading the specimen
Mass is an illustrative stuffing estimate, not a calibrated measurement. Volume compares current and rest tetrahedral volumes. Steps count footfalls; flips count launches requested; snips count claw snaps and greeting pinches.
H / F / C select tools; Space pauses. Drag empty space to orbit. Scroll or use two fingers to zoom. Reduced-motion preferences disable spontaneous gestures.
